A Couple of Notes on Getting Started
Orientation
All new students have to attend New Student Orientation.
There is more information available here: http://www.sf.edu/sf/orientation
In a nutshell, orientation is an introduction to USF. Relax, wear comfortable shoes and have a good time.

Books
Look on your course schedule for the course code, something like “ENG 101″ or “MATH 216.” You will find books with the corresponding numbers in the Campus Shoppe. You can go in and look for the books yourself, or you have some other options:
You can just bring your schedule into the Campus Shoppe and one of the employees can help you find all of your books.
You can go to http://usf.bncollege.com/ and buy your books online and go pick them up in the Campus Shoppe!
Campus Life
The first week will be full of people trying new things. Get involved! Have you always liked bikes? Check out the introductory meeting of the “Tour De Francis” cycling club. Want to be in a play? Go to the “Act One: Drama Club” meetings. Clubs are about having a good time and meeting new people.
Residence Life
If you’re living on campus, there are a couple of things you’ll want to look at:

Commuters
We have excellent “Connecting Commuters” programming. Sometimes they have free lunch. Sometimes it’s coffee and donuts. Sometimes it’s Gas Card Bingo! There’s a “Connecting Commuters” bulletin board in Pope John Paul II. When you get to campus – check it out!
