First of all, I know the smile is ridiculous. It’s just that you really can’t help but to smile that big when you finish your degree. It’s incredible.
My name is Kristin, and I graduated from USF in 2009 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication. I saw that USF was hiring about a month before my temporary job with the United Way was about to end. It seemed like fate to me. During my interview, apparently I was so excited about the possibility of working for USF that I actually jumped out of my chair a little. (The verdicts still out on that one – I don’t remember it.)
I grew up in LaGrange, Indiana, and took part in every play that would let me audition. Then, when I moved to Fort Wayne to attend USF, I helped start the Act One: Drama Club on campus. I waited tables through school (which is kind of an act in itself) and did an internship through the Fort Wayne Chamber of Commerce where I got to talk to hundreds of people. I thrive on public speaking and interacting with other people. I suppose that’s part of the reason I so thoroughly enjoy my job. I get to update you all through WordPress, Facebook and Twitter. (Awesome, right?)
I am also a lover of science fiction, sewing and NPR. Of course there are so many, many other things I could say, but I think those are the most fascinating bits. If you really want to know more, you can always come meet me. USF is hosting three events for new and current USF students this summer. I’ll be there!
Now it’s your turn to introduce yourself.
